The company makes some impressive headphones as well, starting with the Marshall Monitor Bluetooth. The headphones sound great, but what really sets them apart is the price. If you want over-ear headphones with the convenience of Bluetooth, this pair is a steal. It comes with a detachable audio cable so that you can use your headphones without draining the battery, and the ear cups fold in for easy storage and travel. The Galaxy Buds produce exemplary audio quality packed into a pair of unobtrusive earpieces, complete with easy-to-use touch controls for playback, volume, and skipping tracks. According to Samsung, they have a 6-hour battery life and come with a powered carrying case that will recharge the earphones for up to 7 additional hours of playback on the go. Bose has kept some of the best-loved features from its older models as well, such as adjustable levels of noise cancellation, a monitoring mode to let in sound from your environment, and an advertised hour battery life. In addition to sound quality, it has design perks including magnets that clip the earpieces together and automatically turn the headphones off for easy transport, a braided cable for added durability, and water resistance, according to the manufacturer. There are some caveats. The proprietary charger could be expensive to replace, and the advertised battery life is only 5 hours. But for high-quality sound, critical listeners may be willing to overlook those shortcomings. Sony continues to make waves with its popular line of noise-canceling headphones, and the WFXM3 is one of the best performing models yet. The XM3 has outstanding sound quality and top-of-the-line active noise reduction to match—and it does it all with a true wireless design. Those settings can be activated using integrated touch controls, which also operate playback and skipping tracks. A free app adds functionality. Not all of the best wireless headphones are expensive. But if you want a pair of wireless headphones that provide decent sound at a fraction of the cost of its competitors, the E25BT is an appealing option. With so many types of headphones, how do you know which pair is right for you? I want to live in a world where consumers take advantage of technology, not the other way around. Access to reliable information is the way to make that happen, and that's why I spend my time chasing it down. When I'm off the clock, you can find me working my way through an ever-growing list of podcasts. Got a tip? Drop me an email thomas. Sign In. Become a Member. Remember Me. Not a member? The WHXM4 are so good, they currently take the top spot on not just this list, but also our picks for the best noise-canceling headphones and the best headphones, period. That by itself should be all you need to know to be sold on the XM4. The design of the XM4 remains largely the same, making for the same comfort and stability as the previous model. The battery life of these new cans is unchanged, providing 30 hours with active noise cancellation on and 38 hours without. And while Sony says its improved its software algorithms and hardware when it comes to active noise cancellation, the XM4 are basically the same as theXM3 — excellent. The few significant changes that were made with the WHXM4 include the introduction of Bluetooth multipoint connection, allowing them to be connected to two different devices at the same time. Essentially, you could be watching Netflix on your laptop, field a phone call on your mobile device, then effortlessly return to your streaming enjoyment. There are now a ludicrous number of truly-wireless earbuds on the market, but at the moment, there is only one model that provides the same active noise-canceling technology found in high-end headphones like the Sony WHXM3. These earbuds manage to combine superb sound quality, awesome noise cancellation, and astonishing battery life into a single, convenient package. Battery life is impressive at six hours per charge, but if you switch off noise-cancellation, that jumps to a killer eight hours. The Duracell-like charging case stores three full charges, giving you up to 32 hours of playtime — or 24 if you like your environment ultra-quiet. Our only gripes? These small issues notwithstanding, Sony has officially taken the lead when it comes to what we can expect from truly wireless earbuds. Why you should buy them: You want a simple pair of in-ear headphones that are both streamlined and more affordable than other models of similar quality. Unfortunately, as with most material things in life, you get what you pay for. We were also impressed with several other aspects of the Shure SE, including the excellent passive sound isolation and great design and construction. The wireless model, naturally, adds the benefit of unfettered connection via Bluetooth to the already stellar sound and build quality. The wired version of the Shure SE lacked an inline mic for phone calls, but this has been rectified with the SE Wireless. An inline mic and remote sit on the right-hand side, making them even more of an upgrade over their wired predecessors. While you could buy wireless in-ears for less, these are the best budget in-ears you should buy. Read our in-depth Shure SE Wireless review. All their other features, however, make them perfect for sweaty sessions, and at a considerably lower price point than their closest competitors. The ear hooks are killer, helping them stay on your ears during intense bursts of jogging or perhaps a round of CrossFit. Helping the comfortability and security, JLab throws in a glutton of eartip options, including four sizes of silicon tips, foam ones for added noise reduction, and multi-layered tips for less cooperative ear canals. With ten hours of battery life, the Epic Air Sport last long enough for any workout session and offer some of the best battery life in wireless earbuds, period.

Does any of the above scenarios strike a chord with you? If it does, all you need is a good pair of wireless TV headphones. Unfortunately, not all wireless headphones work well with TV and vice versa. Depending on the level of detail you need, the budget you have and the types of shows you watch, we have compiled a list of best wireless headphones for TV that is available on the market right now. Not all TV comes with the ability to connect to wireless headphones. It will be really frustrating to buy a brand new pair of headphones only to find it incompatible with your TV. The RF headphones can run for a very decent 18hrs of playback time. As with all headphones that come with an external transmitter, the setup is plug-and-play. Just plug the transmitter into the TV and you are ready for some movie magic! If you are easily shaken by jump scare scenes but still remains a sucker for horror films, it is best advised to watch it together with someone else. The transmitter for RS supports simultaneous connection of up to 2 headphones. You can get another pair of RS without the transmitter at a lower cost. With a brand name like Sennheiseryou know you are going to get quality sound from your headphones. The RS sound is detailed and has a neutral sound signature. You can pick up voices and background effects that you might normally miss from the TV speakers or soundbars. The Bass Boost mode amplifies the bass response. This is great for action shows where you want to get an extra kick out of the sound effects. The two surround mode adjusts the spatial sound effect and gives you a more immersive experience. The transmitter has light indicators on the front to tell you what current mode you are on. You can tell Sennheiser had put in the effort to reduce the need for a user to take off their headphones unnecessarily. You can conveniently switch between the different modes just with a press of the button controls on the right ear cups. The button controls design is often under-appreciated and over-looked. The RF delivers on the latter. Each button has a reasonably-large enough surface area and only has one specific function. It also has raised signs so that you can feel and recognize the sign without taking out the headphones. The transmitter also doubled up as both a docking station and a charger. Place the headphones back on the docking station and it will automatically start charging. A completely cable-free charging experience. Selecting the best budget headphones turns out to be harder than expected. In the end, we chose the Avantree HT as the best budget wireless TV headphones for its performance-to-price ratio.

We purchase our own headphones and put them under the same test bench, so that you can compare the results easily. No cherry-picked units sent by brands. Whether your phone has nixed the audio jack or you prefer the freedom of going wireless, Bluetooth headphones are a great way to enjoy your favorite music cable-free. There are a couple of disadvantages compared to wired headphones, like needing to keep an eye on battery levels and possible lip-sync issues when watching videos, but not having to worry about tangled cords when you're running out the door on a busy morning makes wireless headphones worth it for many. So far, we've reviewed over pairs of headphones, and below are our recommendations for the best wireless headphones to buy. These Bluetooth over-ear headphones are very lightweight and are among the most comfortable headphones we've ever tested. They look and feel quite premium and well-built, and have easy-to-use physical controls that give you access to a lot of commands. Their hour battery life is great, and they support multi-device and NFC pairing to make pairing them to all your devices easier. Their sound profile is very well-balanced, making them a great choice for a very wide range of content and genres, though fans of a lot of kick and thump may find their bass a little lacking. Their ANC feature is one of the best we've reviewed to date, and they block out a good amount of engine rumble, making them a great choice for your daily commute or long plane rides. They also do a superb job of blocking out background chatter and the high-pitched sound of AC units to help keep you concentrated in the office. Unfortunately, their dedicated companion app is very limited, and it doesn't give you access to any EQ settings, meaning you can't crank up the bass to give your favorite EDM tracks more kick, which is a shame. See our review. If you're looking for something with even more powerful noise cancelling and like being able to fine-tune the way your headphones sound, then get the Sony WHXM3 Wireless. Their ANC is the best we've tested to date, blocking out noise even better than the Bose does, and their hour battery life is impressive. While they'll turn off automatically if they're disconnected from their Bluetooth source, they don't have a true auto-off timer; if you fall asleep in the train with these headphones on, their battery will keep draining. Their touch-sensitive controls also don't work in the cold, which can be a deal-breaker if you live in colder climates. Get the Bose if you prefer physical controls or if you tend to find most over-ears heavy and uncomfortable. However, if you have an extra noisy commute, or just want something you can customize to your heart's content, you'll want to go for the Sony. They feel well-built and comfortable and have easy-to-use physical controls on the ear cups. They even come with a good hard carrying case to help protect them when you toss them in your luggage or bag. Their default sound profile is very well-balanced and accurate, lending itself well to a wide variety of genres and content. If you find they lack a bit of bass, that can easily be remedied thanks to the graphic EQ and presets in their dedicated companion app.
